William Darnell's 1611 Breeches Bible

n late 2017 I was emailed by a man in England who had seen an old (2002) Rootsweb message of mine, asking for information about a family of my ancestors. They were the DARNELL family of Lanchester, County Durham, in northern England. At the time, I had researched quite extensively and had traced the family back to William Darnell, born in 1561, son of Nicholas. I had trawled through many microfilms at the local Family History Centre, corresponded with helpful people on Rootsweb lists, and googled for anything which might be likely to help. ....
